Using the link above you must complete the following activities by Wednesday afternoon.

1. Under Level 1-Click on Solar System. You are responsible for visiting and reading or listening to the information about The Sun, The Planets, and The Moon. Be sure to listen carefully and remember where to find some of the information. You will be using these sites as references.

2. Get a copy of the Moon Booklet. With your partner, make the book. You must include 4 facts that you learned about the moon. Be sure to start each sentence with a capital letter and put a period at the end of each sentence.

3. Get a copy of the Solar System Booklet. With your partner, make a book that tells one fact about at least 4 planets. You may choose any 4 planets except Earth! When you are finished with the booklet, use a white piece of paper and fold it half and then in half again (to make four boxes). Draw a picture of each of the four planets that you chose to write about. The drawings should show what the planet looks like.

4. Get a copy of the Earth Booklet. With your partner, make a book that tells what makes Earth different from any other planet. Your book should have at least 3 facts that explain why Earth is different from any other planet. Be sure to color the cover to accurately represent what the Earth looks like.

5. Complete the activity sheet called, "The Planets and Moons of our Solar System". After you have the activity sheet completed, color the picture that shows all 9 planets and the sun.

6. Under Level 1-Click on Space Stuff. Read or listen to the information about astronauts to learn what an astronaut is and what one does. Use a piece of writing paper to respond to the prompt, "Why I would (or would not) you want to be an astronaut". Then color the picture of the astronaut.

7. Review the information about the planets and then click here to see if you know where each planet is in our solar system.

8. Finally, turn all of your projects in to receive your ticket to the BLAST OFF party!

When you are done, if you have time, feel free to try some of the AWESOME activities below!

Space Memory

Shadow Match

Space Puzzle

Make a Planet
